I seek to capture quiet moments of observation and contemplation in my paintings. My landscape paintings are the product of much thought and can develop over months and years. In essence, they seek to evoke the same feelings and emotions that I had experienced when observing and painting the scene.
I had the good fortune to be taught by Robert Lenkiewicz in the tradition of Velasquez and Singer Sargent. These artists still inspire my painting and especially my portrait painting.
